WHG FIELDWORK DOWN UNDER

Updated: Jan 10

WHG member Jesse is currently carrying out fieldwork in and around the Australia Alps in collaboration with Ben Scheele and Jordann Crawford-Ash of the Australian National University. Together, the team is studying how Whistling Tree Frog (Litoria verreauxii) populations are affected by the deadly amphibian chytrid fungus across various elevations.

Such insights help us to better understand the ecological factors that allow populations to survive in the presence of disease, and may aid in improving conservation practices to mitigate amphibian declines.
